Senior Web Developer (San Mateo)
CalCPA is working to transition from an existing Association Management System (AMS), with data feeds to and from various internal and external systems, to a new hosted platform. Many of these feeds today require manual intervention where tools such as web services can be used. In addition, CalCPA will be migrating to a new web platform, and a new Content Management System (CMS) and Document Management System (DMS). The primary responsibility of the Senior Web Developer is to manage the architecture, integration, and support of CalCPA’s Association Management System and other systems with the CalCPA current and future websites and CMS.
Responsibilities also include developing site features and enhancements, and providing ongoing maintenance as well as managing external 3rd party vendors and service level providers. This position will partner with CalCPA business and technical staff members to develop site concepts, site design, application functionality, business processes, interface design and site architecture. A key responsibility for this position is to manage the e-communication production process. Strong project management and communication skills are essential in this position.

6-8 plus years related work experience
-
Strong technical skills and development experience with the Microsoft stack environment: Visual Studio, VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET or other relevant Microsoft development experience

Strong working knowledge of object-orientated methodology, SQL, XML, Sharepoint and web services
-
Experience implementing 3rd party APIs, especially CMS/AMS and social media platforms

Experience with Silverlight, WWF, JavaScript and VB script a plus

Business experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM)/Member Relationship Management (MRM), social networking, broadcast messaging, e-commerce applications, or AMS solutions considered a plus

Expert skills in Adobe InDesign and demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and MS Office suite

Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects on deadline

Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with a strong sense of urgency, proactive attitude, and strong oral and written communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred; Professional certifications are an advantage
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Integration of CalCPA’s AMS and other systems with the CalCPA website and CMS, including developing site features and enhancements, and providing ongoing support

Work with business analysts to develop site concepts, application functionality, business processes, interface design, and site architecture

Work with internal Senior SQL Developer for script development in support of data interface management and automation, including use of web services where applicable

Evaluate, architect, deploy, and provide ongoing support for a new Document Management System for document management / versioning control and collaboration

Coordinates email communications for CalCPA and Foundation including training staff on using third-party email software and managing master schedule

Review and provide documentation for existing and future production and test web environments

Management of day-to-day Web operations and service level agreements

Maintain technical knowledge of software tools and services, trends and best practices in website design and content production

Participate in CalCPA’s Change Control Board meetings providing business and systems justification for proposed change requests

Specify the requirements for the CalCPA UAT systems environment where users can test the data before production release

Partner with Systems Administrators to ensure test system is implemented

Help maintain third-party e-mail software with subscription and data changes as appropriate, in partnership with database management staff
-
Test and distribute customized e-mails for CalCPA chapters and membership/marketing communications

Perform special duties and undertake specific projects as assigned
