July 9, 2007CPA Ryan Nielsen Elected President Of CalCPA Bakersfield ChapterREDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Ryan Nielsen, CPA, of Brown Armstrong Accountancy Corp. has been elected president of the Bakersfield Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2007 – 08. Nielsen succeeds Coral M Hansen, CPA, of CBIZ & Mayer Hoffman McCann. The CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter serves more than 300 members in Kern County. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning. Nielsen is an audit manager at Brown Armstrong. The firm provides a wide range of services, including computer system design and consulting, estate planning, family business consulting, financial statement audits and tax preparation, planning and consulting. Nielsen has a bachelor’s degree in business and public administration (accounting) from California State University, Bakersfield. He is president of the Active 20-30 Club of Bakersfield, a nonprofit service organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for special needs children in Kern County. Joining Nielsen on the board of the CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter are Martin Goni (first vice president) of CBIZ and Mayer Hoffman McCann, Joel Bock (vice president) of Daniels Phillips Vaughan & Bock, and Rich Walton (secretary/treasurer) of Klein, DeNatale, Goldner, Cooper, Rosenlieb & Kimball.
