Young Accountants to Gain Insights For Career Success at Conference
Sessions Set for Los Angeles, San Francisco
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Christopher Gardner, the author of “The Pursuit of Happyness,” will discuss with students and young accountants how they can find their passion during the second annual Young and Emerging Professionals (YEP) Conference hosted by the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA).
The conference, which is being held in Los Angeles on May 7 and in San Francisco on May 9, features sessions on becoming a trusted adviser, smart networking and dressing for success. A panel of seasoned professionals will discuss their experiences and advise attendees how they can achieve rewarding careers.
“There are so many opportunities in the CPA profession nowadays thanks to advances in technology and the huge global market,” says Loretta Doon, CEO of CalCPA. “Regardless, it still is relationships and learning how to associate with and tap the knowledge of others in your field that lead to success. We hope this conference will give young professionals the insights they need to have satisfying careers.”
The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. May 7 at the Westin Bonaventure, 404 S. Figueroa, Los Angeles, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. May 9 at the Downtown San Francisco Marriott, 55 4th St., San Francisco.
