CPA David Veyna Elected President Of CalCPA Silicon Valley San Jose Chapter
David F. Veyna, CPA, of Veyna & Forschino, San Jose, has been elected president of the Silicon Valley San Jose Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2008 – 09. Veyna succeeds Roger A. Laux, CPA, of Pinnacle Intertech, San Jose.
The CalCPA Silicon Valley San Jose Chapter serves more than 2,400 members in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito counties. They provide a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.
Veyna previously was the chapter’s vice president. His firm provides tax, accounting and financial reporting services for small to midsized closely held companies.
Veyna holds a bachelor’s degree in plant science from the University of California, Riverside, and has done postgraduate work in economics at Oregon State University and in accounting and finance at California State University, Fresno.
Joining Veyna on the board of the CalCPA Silicon Valley San Jose chapter are Donna S. Bumgarner (vice president) of Petrinovich Pugh & Co., San Jose; Ben C. Towne (secretary) of Berger/Lewis, San Jose; and David J. Neighbors (treasurer) of Johanson & Yau, San Jose.
