John Samore III New President Of CalCPA Los Angeles Chapter
John Samore III, CPA, of True Partners Consulting LLC, Los Angeles, has been elected president of the 9,200-member Los Angeles Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2008 – 09. Samore succeeds Violeta D. Cristobal, CPA, of Cristobal & Co., Los Angeles.
The CalCPA Los Angeles chapter serves CPAs who specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.
A manager with True Partners Consulting, Samore assists clients with their annual unclaimed property compliance reports and provides defense strategies should a client be audited.
Samore is a resident of Santa Monica. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in business administration from the University of Southern California.
Joining Samore on the board of the CalCPA Los Angeles Chapter are Jenny Bolsky (first vice president) of Miller Kaplan Arase & Co. LLP, North Hollywood; Loni Ang (vice president) of Citi Smith Barney, Los Angeles; Barry Hensiek (vice president) of Hensiek & Caron CPAs, Pasadena; Marissa C. Bueno (secretary) of Capital Group Companies, Irvine; and Marianne C. Sfreddo (treasurer/budget chair), a sole practitioner in Marina del Rey.
