June 3, 2008Thomas Letus Elected President Of CalCPA Channel Counties ChapterThomas A. Letus, CPA, of Automotive Performance Systems, Camarillo, has been elected president of the Channel Counties Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2008 – 09. Letus succeeds Cindy Young, CPA, of West Coast Financial, Santa Barbara. The CalCPA Channel Counties Chapter serves about 750 members in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning. The chief financial officer and controller for Automotive Performance Systems, Letus previously served the chapter as its first vice president. Automotive Performance Systems manufactures and distributes aftermarket automotive parts. Letus holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Northridge. He is a resident of Ventura. Joining Letus on the board of the CalCPA Channel Counties Chapter are Susan P. Jacobson (first vice president) of Holthouse, Carlin & Van Trigt, LLP, Westlake Village; Patricia K. Krout (second vice president) of McGowan Guntermann CPAs, Santa Barbara; and Gail H. Anikouchine (secretary) of MacFarlene, Faletti & Co., Santa Barbara.
