Education Forum to Seek Ways to Help Accounting Students Toward Rewarding Careers
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.—The California Society of CPAs (www.CalCPA.org) will host a forum Nov. 14 to discuss ways of ensuring that students graduating from California colleges and universities are prepared to enter the rapidly changing CPA profession.
“We’ve pulled together thought leaders and visionaries from various segments of the CPA profession, including leading academics, to collaborate with their peers on an action plan to help accounting graduates keep ahead of the rapid changes in the profession,” said Loretta Doon, CalCPA CEO.
Forum sessions at the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach, Calif., will cover accounting education from the practitioner, regulator and academic perspectives and explore partnering opportunities between academics and practitioners to help accounting graduates toward rewarding careers.
