Fremont CPA Elected President Of CalCPA East Bay Chapter

Joelyn K. Carr-Fingerle, CPA, of Fremont has been elected president of the East Bay Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2009 – 10. Carr-Fingerle succeeds Michele Day, CPA, a Lafayette sole practitioner.

The CalCPA East Bay Chapter serves more than 2,000 members in Alameda, Napa and Contra Costa counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.

A sole practitioner, Carr-Fingerle previously was the chapter’s first vice president and program director. Her firm provides tax services to individuals and to homeowner associations.

Carr-Fingerle holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from San Jose State University.

Joining Carr-Fingerle on the board of the CalCPA East Bay Chapter are G. Scott Haislet (first vice president) a Lafayette sole practitioner; Amintas J. Major III (second vice president/treasurer) of Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Co., Pleasanton; and Mary M. Geong (secretary) of the Franchise Tax Board, Oakland.
