CalCPA San Diego Chapter Elects New President

Joseph A. Forlenza, CPA, CFP, CRPC, of San Diego has been elected president of the San Diego chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2009 – 10. Forlenza succeeds Marleen Thudium. CPA, of Willow Brook Financial Insurance Services, La Mesa.

The CalCPA San Diego Chapter serves more than 2,600 members in San Diego and Imperial counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.

A financial planner for Ameriprise Financial Services, Forlenza provides financial and retirement planning services to high net worth individuals and business owners.

Forlenza holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of San Diego.

Joining Forlenza on the board of the CalCPA San Diego Chapter are Melody S. Thornton (first vice president) of J.H. Cohn LLP, San Diego; Nai Y. Hwang (secretary) of the University of California, San Diego; and Conor P. Donnelley (treasurer) of Max Perlatti & Associates, San Diego.
