Turlock CPA Elected President Of CalCPA San Joaquin Chapter
Christine Stiles, CPA, of Schmidt, Bettencourt & Medeiros, Turlock, has been elected president of the San Joaquin Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2009 – 10.
The CalCPA San Joaquin Chapter serves more than 600 members in Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, Mono, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tuolumne counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.
Previously the chapter’s vice president, Stiles is a staff accountant with Schmidt, Bettencourt & Medeiros. The firm provides businesses and individuals with tax planning, auditing, business consulting, and client account services.
Stiles has a bachelor’s in business administration from California State University, Stanislaus.
Joining Stiles on the board of the CalCPA San Joaquin Chapter are Michelle E. Benton (vice president), a sole practitioner in Tuolumne, and Richard Cline (secretary/treasurer) of Bowman & Co., Stockton.
