Video Contest to Reveal CPA Talents Behind
and in Front of Camera

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Do accountants have secret talents that will entrance YouTube viewers?

The California Society of CPAs is about to find out as it launches the CalCPA Video Festival. The festival allows current CalCPA members to reveal their abilities “off the ledger” and explain their services to the public, as well as point out the benefits of CalCPA membership.

“We know our CPAs are great with numbers, help clients plan a financially secure retirement, and develop financial forecasts for businesses,” says Loretta Doon, CalCPA CEO. “But we think they can also act, sing, dance, and operate a camcorder with panache.”

Entrants may submit a video of up to two minutes in one of six categories. The videos must be posted on YouTube by Dec. 31 to qualify for continuing professional education prizes or, in the student category, a $250 scholarship.

Complete rules and the entry form are available at http://www.calcpa.org/Content/25652.aspx.

With more than 32,000 members, CalCPA is the nation’s largest state CPA society.
