Record Number of California CPAs Seeking One Voice to Represent Them — CalCPA Membership Surges Past 30,000
REDWOOD CITY — The California Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (CalCPA) membership surged past 30,000 in late January, continuing a multi-year trend of California CPAs flocking to CalCPA for advocacy, technical guidance and professional resources.
“As the only state CPA society with more than 30,000 members, CalCPA members hold us to a higher standard to deliver value to them,” said CalCPA Chair Marc Parkinson, CPA, “and this achievement confirms that members of the CPA profession throughout California believe that CalCPA is their best state-level advocate and a top-of-mind resource.”
Added CalCPA Chief Executive Officer, Loretta Doon, CPA, “I am thrilled that the majority of active CPAs within California value membership in the California Society of CPAs.
“Everyone on staff and in leadership takes seriously our mission to promote the integrity of the CPA profession, contribute to member success, and provide essential services and products to our members. Our membership growth confirms that we are doing exactly that.”
Doon also praised CalCPA staff and volunteer leaders for working diligently to recruit members and continually anticipating and delivering products and services to meet or exceed member needs and concerns.
