CPA Roger A. Laux Elected President Of CalCPA Silicon Valley San Jose Chapter
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Roger A. Laux, CPA, of San Jose has been elected president of the Silicon Valley San Jose Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2007 – 08. Laux succeeds James Babcock, CPA, of San Jose.
Previously Laux was the chapter’s vice president.
The CalCPA Silicon Valley San Jose Chapter serves more than 2,000 members in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito counties. They provide a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.
Laux is a consultant for Pinnacle Intertech, San Jose, a management and technology consulting organization. The firm’s services include business process analysis and optimization, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance management and support, and project and program management.
Laux has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University and a master’s in business administration from Santa Clara University.
Joining Laux on the board of the CalCPA Silicon Valley San Jose chapter are David F. Veyna (vice president) of Veyna & Forschino, San Jose; Donna S. Bumgarner (secretary) of Petrinovich Pugh & Company, San Jose; and Ben C. Towne (treasurer) of Berger/Lewis, San Jose.
