CalCPA San Diego Chapter Elects New President

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Narelle MacKenzie of PricewaterhouseCoopers, San Diego, has been elected president of the San Diego chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2007 – 08. MacKenzie succeeds Barry J. Kohn, owner of Barry J. Kohn CPA, San Diego.

Previously MacKenzie was the chapter’s membership chair.

The CalCPA San Diego Chapter serves about 2,500 members in San Diego and Imperial counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.

MacKenzie is the international tax director for the San Diego office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the nation’s largest accounting firms.

MacKenzie holds a bachelor’s in business from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

Joining MacKenzie on the board of the CalCPA San Diego Chapter are Marleen Thudium (first vice president) of Willow Brook Financial Insurance Services, La Mesa; Joseph Forlenza (secretary) of Merrill Lynch, San Diego; and James Colville (treasurer) of James M. Colville, CPA, San Diego.
