July 9, 2007Santa Barbara CPA Elected President Of CalCPA Channel Counties ChapterREDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Cindy Young, CPA, of Santa Barbara has been elected president of the Channel Counties Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2007 – 08. Young succeeds Juan M. Soto, CPA, of Oxnard. Young previously served the chapter as its first vice president. The CalCPA Channel Counties Chapter serves about 700 members in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning. Young is director of client relations for West Coast Financial, Santa Barbara. The firm provides financial consulting and wealth management services. Young has a bachelor’s degree in political science and English from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and a master’s in business administration from the University of California, Irvine. Joining Young on the board of the CalCPA Channel Counties Chapter are Thomas A. Letus (first vice president) of Automotive Performance Systems, Camarillo; Susan Jacobson (second vice president) of Holthouse, Carlin & Van Trigt LLP, Westlake Village; Patricia K. Krout (secretary) of McGowan Guntermann, Santa Barbara; and Michael Ray (treasurer) of Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf, Santa Barbara.
