The Mentoring and Internship Program of the CalCPA Los Angeles Chapter supports, encourages, assists and inspires students who wish to be mentored.

What is a mentor?

Mentoring is the process by which an experienced person provides advice, support and encouragement to a less experienced person.

What is expected of me as a mentor?

As a mentor you are expected to provide encouragement, guidance and/or support to your student. Some of the basic mentoring activities can include but are not limited to, one-on-one interviews, job shadowing, site tours, active listening and of course internships.

How do I become a mentor?

  • to encourage (foster, promote, etc.) a high level of service in the profession
  • to develop future leaders
