President’s Message
The Year Ahead
By Ryan Nielsen, CPA
Welcome new officers, board members and committee chair! As you know, the new year for CalCPA began June 1, and there are many new faces who have joined our leadership team. I am excited for the opportunity ahead and look forward to a great year working with all of you. Thank you for stepping up and showing your passion for our profession!
We just completed our planning conference in Paso Robles, where we discussed responsibilities, set goals and began initial planning of events for the year. With a highly diverse group of membership, we have many new ideas for promoting the organization, providing valuable resources to our membership and expect a number of high quality CPE opportunities over the course of the term. As always, we are looking for additional support from our membership and encourage you to get involved with the various committees that will be planning events throughout the term. Please contact myself or program associate, Kay Coffin if you would like more information on how to get involved with your local chapter. We are here to serve you!
Check out the calendar for upcoming events. We welcome your input at our monthly board meetings held the third Thursday each month during lunch at 4200 Truxtun Ave., Suite 300.
Thank you.
– Ryan Nielsen, CPA

This article highlights two of them: subordination of liens and bankruptcy. [Read More]
