The Group Insurance Trust of the California Society of CPAs has been exclusively dedicated to providing quality group health and welfare programs to the owners and employees of CalCPA member firms since 1959.

In 1997, the California Department of Insurance licensed the Trust to operate as a Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangement (MEWA) and on July 1, 1997, the Trust launched its California CPA ProtectPlus health plans.

CalCPA ProtectPlus is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) that utilizes the Anthem Blue Cross hospital and physician network. The ProtectPlus program includes five copay options, three HSA-eligible plans and two Anthem Blue Cross HMO plans. Group Dental, Vision, Life and Disability plans are also available.
