The Group Insurance Trust of the California Society of CPAs has been exclusively dedicated to providing quality group health and welfare programs to the owners and employees of CalCPA member firms since 1959.

In 1997, the California Department of Insurance licensed the Trust to operate as a Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangement (MEWA) and on July 1, 1997, the Trust launched its California CPA ProtectPlus health plans.

ProtectPlus is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) that utilizes the Blue Cross of California hospital and physician network. There are five copay options from which to choose. All ProtectPlus plans have generous prescription drug benefits.

The Trust is able to provide better benefits at competitive rates because the only objective of the ProtectPlus Program is to provide a superior CalCPA member service. There are no profit goals.
