Patrick Chu, CPA, CFP®
Patrick is a co-founder of marrick wealth and is responsible for establishing and managing relationships with high net worth individuals. He began his career in 2003 at The Ayco Company, L.P., a Goldman Sachs Company, counseling high net worth individuals in the areas of income tax, investments, and retirement planning. Patrick has also worked at Macias, Gini & O’Connell LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, advising clients on complex tax issues. Most recently, he was a VP of Wealth Management at MullinTBG Advisors. Patrick spent his youth in Sacramento, California. After meeting his wife, Linda, in Cornell’s MBA program, he moved to Orange County, where they live with their two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, improving his golf game, and managing his fantasy football team. He also enjoys cooking, movie-watching, and traveling.
Martin P McNamara, CPA, CFP

Marty McNamara co-founded marrick wealth, a boutique wealth management firm based in Irvine, in 2012. He is responsible for establishing and managing client relationships. His career has focused on investments and financial planning with an emphasis on income and estate tax planning. He has served as an advisor to wealthy families since 2003, working for two boutique wealth management firms (2005-11), and two international companies, Deloitte (2003-04) and Northern Trust (2011-12). He has advised families with net worth ranging from $2 million to $100 million.

McNamara holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Dayton, and is credentialed as both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is a member of the AICPA, CalCPA, and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, McNamara moved to Orange County in 2007. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and their two sons, as well as traveling, surfing, and running. His favorite sports teams are the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavs and the Dayton Flyers; his favorite television is college football; his favorite books are The Edge, and How to Win Friends and Influence People; and his favorite foods are pizza, smoothies, and mint chip ice cream.
