Cornering Codification: What You Need to Know (8091944A)

REGISTRATION STATUS: Online Registration for this event is closed. Please contact your Program Associate or Customer Services.

As of July 1, 2009, FASB’s Accounting Standards Codification became the sole source of authoritative U.S. generally accepted accounting principles. It entails a radically new way of contextualizing much of our work. We will now need to start thinking about Codification Topics instead of the more familiar accounting standards through the use of SFAS, FIN, EITF, ARB or APB numbers.

This brief, but informative webcast is designed to ease the transition for CPAs and other potential users, and will include tips on how to understand the new landscape as well as navigating through it. There will also be discussion of the many advantages within this new environment of researching and understanding the accounting standards.
