POSITION DETAILS & EXPECTATIONS

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, driven professional with excellent interpersonal skills to build and lead sales efforts to enhance our presence in the marketplace.  Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the public accounting/business consulting industry, as well as a comprehensive familiarity of our firm, service offerings, clients and client industries.
  • Target and qualify leads to acquire new clients according to sales goals and other stated objectives and benchmarks.
  • Identify new client service opportunities within existing client base.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and assistance to our management team to improve sales efforts.
  • Participate in marketing activities, including involvement with local and professional organizations, and networking initiatives.
  • Build and expand strategic partnerships within our referral network
  • Successful candidates will be mature and personable – capable of effectively communicating across all staff levels, including a productive rapport with our management team. You must be reliable and versatile enough to assist with other tasks on an as-needed basis in a fast paced/diversified office environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BS/BA in Business, Accounting, Taxation or related discipline (masters degree and/or CPA license a plus)
  • 5+ years of closely relevant work experience, ideally with a public accounting firm or other professional services provider (legal, architectural, engineering)

Well established tax preparation, tax consultancy and accounting firm seeks a tax professional with a CPA License who has an abundance of hands on income tax experience. An individual who and can meet with clients in person or communicate with clients. This individual will have confidence and be able to communicate well with clients. Must have a minimum of 5 years direct client contact and tax return preparation experience, be familiar with Lacerte software as well as preparing 1040's, 1120's and 1065's tax returns. You will be comfortable dealing with IRS, FTB and other tax authorities having had the experience of writing letters, responding to notices, audit representation and a overall knowledge of the IRS collection process.
