LUNA Sport, an all-new line of go-to riding wardrobe essentials for women is seeking an Accounting/ Operations Manager. This is a full-time contract to hire position. The Accounting/Operations Manager is responsible for all accounting and operational aspects of the business to include General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Vendor and Inventory Management. The individual is responsible for oversight of transaction flow from warehouse receipt to customer delivery and supplier payment. The individual is responsible for inventory control, inventory valuation, general ledger recording and preparation of related monthly reports, statements, and reconciliations including analysis. The incumbent is also responsible for researching documentation, file maintenance and other routine projects associated with accounting and office management.
Job Difficulty: The Accounting/Operations Manager manages a high volume of transactions, applying knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. The most difficult aspect of this position is the oversight of all accounting transactions and management of operation flow and inventory control. Attention to detail and ability to mitigate risk and control system setup is extremely important. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks and must be able to multi task and prioritize. May direct and lead the work of others.
Education and Experience: Requires undergraduate degree in business or related field, plus 3-5 years accounting experience, including responsibility for accounting transactions (GL, AR & AP) and inventory control. Experience with EXCEL is required. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is also required, as is a strict detail orientation, strong quantitative analysis and analytical problem solving skills, and the ability to interact effectively with various people to secure necessary information and gain cooperation in complying with processes and guidelines. http/www.lunasportgear.com/
