We are looking for an experienced tax accountant / analyst to lead and oversee the Marcus & Millichap corporate tax group. The successful candidate should have at least 5 years of taxation experience and strong technical knowledge with SFAS 109, Fin 48, tax provisions, income tax compliance and planning.
Corporate Tax Manager
Specific Responsibilities:
· Oversee preparation of corporate and partnership federal and state income tax returns
- Supervise, train, and develop staff in preparation of partnership & corporation tax returns and working papers
· Coordination with external CPA firms
· Oversee year-end tax provisions
· Oversee and maintain quarterly tax accounts reconciliations
· Prepare required tax disclosures for GAAP financial statements
· Manage all federal and state audits and represent the company before all taxing authorities
· Advise, manage, coordinate and participate in tax-planning projects, including implementing tax strategies
· Research and draft technical memo and provide recommendations
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Four year college degree, in Finance or Accounting.
· 7-10 years experience as a tax professional in similar or related position
· CPA Preferred but not required
· MS in Tax Preferred but not required
· Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office
