I received my Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in May 2009 from California State University, Sacramento. Through my college work, previous employment, and extra-curricular activities, I have gained valuable hands-on experience in the field of accounting. Last year, I was a Student Assistant with the Facilities Management Department at California State University, Sacramento. My responsibilities included reconciling and monitoring expenses from various departments on campus that had strict deadlines and year-ends. In addition, I also worked with upper management regarding budget constraints and cost allocations. Co-workers frequently commented about how easy it was to understand my verbal and written explanations. I have also started studying for the Financial Accounting and Reporting section of the CPA exam, and plan to sit for this section of the exam in November.
