About the Position
We are currently seeking a Senior or Manager level candidate to join our Forensic Accounting/Litigation Consulting department. This position will review case information and prepare analysis to assist Directors in preparing expert opinions for our clients. This position may also direct the work of junior staff members.
Essential Functions (More About the Position)
Using GAAP/GAAS knowledge, review documents and testimony to aid in expert reports
In-depth financial analysis
Develop proper case analysis strategy through various means, including data entry and other analysis
Summarizing depositions
Writing and editing reports and memoranda
Research of various professional standards, in order to stay abreast of current developments in the profession
Research and use all available data to reach sound conclusions, making clear recommendations for clients and providing workable alternative solutions
Understanding of the legal, corporate governance and regulatory environment
Support Directors in all areas of case management
Attend marketing events and develop client contacts
Other special projects or tasks as assigned
The Right Candidate
Education and Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
3-7 years solid audit experience with large and complex audit clients
CPA, other related professional certifications (CFF, CFE, CVA, etc.) preferred
Knowledge Requirements
Must be technically competent with GAAP/GAAS
Experience with SEC financial statement analysis
Prudent problem solving abilities where limited standardization exists
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, including advanced Excel knowledge
Strong ability to research technical subjects and explain them to others
Ability to see the “big picture”, define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to effectively organize and present findings and recommendations to Firm Directors and clients
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial documents, legal documents and governmental regulations
Effective oral and written communication
Must be able to think and work independently
Highly organized
