DJO is a global provider of medical devices that provide solutions for musculoskeletal health, vascular health and pain management. We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager of Financial Reporting at our global headquarters in Vista, CA.

The scope of this position requires both leadership and management of the internal and external Financial Reporting of the company, including management, Board of Directors, SEC, investors and creditors. This position is responsible for providing leadership in the successful accomplishment of tasks and assignments through utilization of department members and consolidation system tools including Hyperion. This position is also responsible for the coordination of the Company’s external financial statement audits and must stay abreast of accounting standards and research accounting issues for the Company. Most importantly, this position, is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Company’s financial reporting, requiring the individual members of the department to maintain a high degree of accuracy, integrity and professionalism at all times.

Essential Job Functions:
Manage the preparation , review and distribution of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements for all reporting entities.

Manage the preparation of the Company’s SEC filings and assist with all financial press releases and investor conference presentations.

Preparation and review of actual results as compared to the annual operating plan and forecasts.

Coordinates quarterly reviews and year-end audits with external auditors.

Stays abreast of accounting standards and coordinates accounting issues with external auditors.

Researches technical accounting issues, documents conclusions and provides E&Y with support of the Company’s position.

Responsible for the integrity of the consolidated financial statements and responsible for meeting the Company’s reporting deadlines.

Maintenance of financial information within the Company’s Hyperion consolidation software.

Preparation and administration of policies relating to and establishment of goals and measurement of performance for financial reporting.

Performs other related duties as they are assigned by the CFO, Controller or other senior members of the management team.

Requirements:

Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. CPA required.

Experience –

  • 10 years experience in accounting or related fields including 5 years supervisory experience.
  • 4 years audit experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm preferred.
  • Experience with SEC reporting and intimate knowledge of GAAP reporting.
  • International consolidations experience required.
  • Must be able to use various accounting systems, PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel and basic knowledge of MS Access.
  • Hyperion experience strongly preferred.
  • Must have effective presentation skills and experience presenting information using numbers and responding to questions from key stakeholders.
  • Must be able to demonstrate through work projects or education a very strong analytical/quantitative background.
