John Ying, CPA, Elected President Of CalCPA Peninsula Silicon Valley Chapter

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — John P. Ying, CPA, of San Mateo has been elected president of the Peninsula Silicon Valley Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2006 – 07. Ying succeeds Laarni von Ruden, CPA, of Palo Alto.

 

Ying previously served as the chapter’s vice president.

 

The CalCPA Peninsula Silicon Valley Chapter serves more than 1,000 members in San MateoCounty. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.

 

Ying has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from CaliforniaStateUniversity, EastBay.

 

Joining Ying on the board of the CalCPA Peninsula Silicon Valley Chapter are Sharon Selleck (vice president) of Burr, Pilger & Mayer, CPAs, Palo Alto; Carol W. Ach (treasurer) of Carol W. Ach, CPA, Menlo Park; and James M. Knight (secretary) of Spector & Associates LLP, Palo Alto.
