Ventura Resident Elected President of CalCPA Channel Counties Chapter

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Michael Eulau, CPA, of Ventura has been elected president of the Channel Counties Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2005–06. Eulau succeeds Joseph Lanza, CPA, of Goleta.

Eulau previously served the chapter as its first vice president, secretary and treasurer.

The CalCPA Channel Counties Chapter serves about 700 members in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning. Some of the activities the chapter plans for the coming months include a tax, accounting and negotiation presentation and a golf tournament.

Eulau is principal of Eulau Accountancy Corp, Ventura. He provides income tax preparation and planning, business valuation, litigation services, financial planning and financial statement audits.

Eulau has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Pomona College, Claremont, a master’s in economics from the London School of Economics, and a master’s in business administration from the University of Chicago.

He has served as treasurer of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce and as a board member of the American Heart Association of Ventura County.

Joining Eulau on the board of the CalCPA Channel Counties Chapter are Juan Soto (first vice president) of Soares, Sandall, Bernacchi, & Petrovich, Oxnard; Cindy Young (second vice president/treasurer) of Nusil Technology, Carpinteria; and Thomas Letus, Automotive Performance Systems, Camarillo.
