Arlene Cembrano, Vasquez Partner, with over twenty (20) years of public accounting and auditing experience. Areas of Expertise Arlene’s areas of expertise include overseeing all aspects of financial and compliance audits including internal control reviews, Single Audits performed in accordance with Office of Management and Budget Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards at 2 CFR 200 (the Uniform Guidance), program specific audits, financial statement reviews, audits for private companies and SEC filers, and review and compilation engagements and is in charge of the Vasquez & Company LLP’s internal quality control and nonprofit healthcare entities. Professional Background and Affiliations Member – American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Certified Global Manager Member – California Society of Certified Public Accountants Arlene’s professional background includes auditor with PwC and Arthur Andersen. She began her career with SGV & Co. (Manila, Philippines), which was formerly an affiliate of Arthur Andersen and which is currently affiliated with Ernst & Young. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the State of California. Educational Background Arlene received her Bachelor of Science, Major in Accounting from the De La Salle University. She remains current on accounting matters by attending conferences and continuing education courses.
