Generation Z (~ born between 1995-2012) began entering the workplace two years ago, making it the most recent generational cohort. This session will consider the characteristics among generational cohorts, including areas of differences and friction, and the implications for the workplace. To better our understanding of Gen. Z, we will go over various factors that attribute to affect this group, such as childhood, parental practices, attitudes, and beliefs that shape their worldview.

Objectives:

  • Recognize different generations in the workplace.
  • Identify Gen Z and common traits.
  • Determine ways to engage all generations.
