$50 in person (includes professional headshot, breakfast and lunch)
$25 online (includes lunch via delivery code and virtual breakout rooms for networking)
$10 for in person student members
$5 online for students members

Join us for for CalCPA's first statewide YEP Conference, "Maximize Your Potential".

  • Strategies to build a healthy lifestyle

This conference will be brought to you in person and online.

Registration is limited to 25 attendees in person at the CalCPA Burlingame office.

In person attendees will also receive the opportunity to have a professional photo taken for your linked in profile and networking lunch in person.

Virtual participants will be able to join online networking via breakout rooms and will receive a code to order lunch.

Speaker Bios

 Erick O. Bell is currently serving as the Interim Dean of Academic Services for the Public Safety, Advanced Manufacturing, Transportation, Health, Kinesiology and Athletics. Prior to pursuing academia full-time, Erick was the Managing Director at StoneTurn Group LLP in San Francisco where he focused on Corporate Investigations, AntiFraud Consulting, and Litigation and Dispute Support. Prior to joining StoneTurn, he spent 6 years with Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, LLP as a Senior Manager in the Forensic and Litigation group and 9 years at KPMG LLP as a Senior Manager in the Audit and Risk Advisory Services managing the audits of several SEC registrants with a focus on technology, manufacturing, and distribution. Erick also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Accounting Career Awareness Program, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of high school students from underrepresented ethnic groups who pursue careers in finance and accounting. He also is the sole proprietor of an accounting and bookkeeping services, providing financial reporting and analysis and forensic services to profit and non-profit entities. In 2021, Erick released his first book publication, Living Healthy - 6 simple strategies to achieve a healthy life physically, spiritually, and financially. Attendees to the YEP conference will receive a copy of Mr. Bell's new book. 

 Somya Chauhan, CPA, is an Indian-American business executive. She is currently in the Finance team at Alphabet Inc. where she leads a team that is responsible for the company’s global expenses, month close reporting and day-to-day operations. Somya has trained to be a career coach. She facilitates a leadership development program at Google and also offers one-on-one career coaching sessions. Prior to joining Google, Somya worked in corporate accounting at HP and prior to HP in the audit and advisory services at EY in Chicago and the Bay Area. Somya hosts Talks at Google Speaker Series bringing Googlers from around the globe face-to-face with today’s most prominent and innovative thought leaders including Darren J Gold, Bobbi Brown and Dylan Werner. Somya was on the board of California Society of CPAs from 2019 to 2020 and currently serves the following non profits as board member/advisor: Noorani Dance Company, GirlVentures. 

 Rianne Suico has practiced public accounting since 2004. Her focus is on performing audits and consulting engagements for health care organizations, health plans and insurance, dedicating a significant amount of time to risk-bearing health plans that administer Medi-Cal funds, large multi-specialty medical groups, independent physician associations, Knox-Keene licensed organizations, and not-for-profit organizations. Rianne’s other experience includes providing accounting, auditing, and consulting services to health care organizations such as continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, community clinics, management service organizations, and third-party administrators.
