FIRM PRACTICE TOOLS:Work Smarter Not Harder

Please join us for our first Oakland MAP Meeting. As some of you know, the East Bay Chapter has a MAP (Managing Accounting Practice) meeting in Walnut Creek. As a regular attendee of those meetings, I kept thinking why does Walnut Creek get all the fun, so we are testing the waters in Oakland.

For this first meeting, we are going to have a roundtable discussion on effectiveness. Managing an accounting firm is hard work and time consuming, but there are tools out there that can make us more effective. This discussion is going to focus on tools that let us get more done in less time and so we can check out of the office and enjoy some holiday party time.

We are going to look at all aspects of firm operations - everything from how to onboard a new client to how to deliver a completed tax return. Historically speaking, these discussions have been very lively and it is amazing what we can learn from each other. So, if you are responsible for your firm's operations or just want to learn more about what it takes to make the magic happen, come and join us. But please our lunch and your ideas.

This meeting will be co-lead by Louise Cochrane (L.F. Cochrane & Assoc of Alameda) and Margaret Schopp (Schopp & Co of Walnut Creek).
