Stephen Priddle
Stephen Priddle is the President and founder of Practical PD, Seminars for Accountants, as well as VP, Finance, CFO and Secretary of the SureWx group of companies. At SureWx, he is in charge of all aspects of the firm’s financial operations, treasury, forecasting, tax and compliance. SureWx is a global aviation business that is a market leader in optimizing winter operations at airports around the world. He and three fellow company executives executed a Management Buyout of SureWx in 2015. After working with KPMG for five years, he moved into industry. He has held financial leadership positions in both public and private companies, in several different industries. He has gained a wide range of experience in financial reporting, treasury management, merger & acquisition and other business matters. Stephen speaks at accounting conferences and presents seminars to over 40 professional accounting bodies and professional organizations. He has taught at several universities. Stephen is also a prolific author, having written hundreds of business, accounting and finance cases, used by accounting bodies, universities, training programs and Big Four accounting firms. Stephen sits on the Board of Directors of SureWx Inc., and advises a number of businesses and not for profit organizations. He sat on the Board of Advisors of Valydate Inc. until its 2017 sale to Mentor Graphics, a Siemens company. Stephen obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and Certified Management Accountant designations following graduation from Carleton University with an Honors Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting.
