Join the San Fernando Valley group and hear Narina Bchtikian, Senior Stakeholder Liaison for the IRS discuss the Filing Season 2019 - Get Ready: There are important changes that taxpayers and tax professionals need to know about before the 2019 filing season begins. This program will cover a series of Get Ready communications to help understand changes that may affect processing of taxpayer’s tax returns and refund timing.

Objectives:

  • Identify basic steps to take should a tax practitioner experience a data compromise.
  • Determine how the Get Ready campaign will affect taxpayers.

Instructors

Narina Bchtikian
Narina Bchtikian is a Senior Stakeholder Liaison with IRS Communications and Liaison and is currently assigned to the Los Angeles Stakeholder Liaison Office. Stakeholder Liaison serves as the primary IRS liaison to tax practitioner organizations throughout the country. Narina coordinates IRS participation at tax professional CPE seminars and instructs at many of these sessions. Prior to moving to the Los Angeles area, Narina was an SL in the Mid- Atlantic Area and worked with the practitioners in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Narina began her career with the Internal Revenue Service in 1988 and has held numerous positions in the general program areas concentrating on Examination, Technical Tax Law Issues and Taxpayer Advocate.
