(Partner at Rodriguez, Horii, Choi & Cafferata, LLP) and William “Bill” Hranchak, CPA (Partner at TemoArjani LLP) as they share their expertise and cover the latest regulations and cases involving charitable gifts and documenting deductions.

Michael B Allmon, CPA
With a Master’s in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas, Michael Allmon has over 35 years of experience in tax planning and preparation, estate planning, and financial planning for businesses and individuals. Mike has held various executive and managerial positions with Laventhol & Horwath in Los Angeles, and Zusman, Cameron & Allmon, CPAs (as a partner in charge of Tax and Personal Financial Consulting Services) before founding Michael B. Allmon & Associates, LLP, CPAs in 1988. Mike has been a member of the Board of Trustees (Board of Directors) for CalCPA Protect Plus (The Group Insurance Trust) since January 2012. He is currently Chair of the Finance and Investment Committee where he has been a member since 2013. He was previously a member of the Claims and Plan Design Committee (2008 to 2012), and the Audit Committee (2012 to 2014). Mike is currently a member of the Executive Committee since 2015. As an active participant in the accounting community, Mike is the Founding Chair of the Statewide CalCPA Estate Planning Committee, and has also chaired the LA chapter Estate Planning Committee for CalCPA (one of the largest technical committees of CPAs in the nation) for over 20 years. He is also the Founding Chair of the CalCPA Mentoring and Internship Program and was an active member of the CalCPA Taxation Committee Also a former member of the Board of Directors and former Vice-President of the CalCPA Los Angeles Chapter, Mike has a long history of giving speeches and networking with accounting professionals in the state and local area. In addition to his participation in the accounting world, Mike has been an active member in the Manhattan Beach community for over 35 years.
