Megan Thompson, CFF, CPA, CVA
Megan Thompson, CPA, CVA, CFF, is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in Psychology. She also attended Santa Clara University where she received a Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency. She has been a CPA since 2008. Ms. Thompson began working for Michael S. Thompson, CPA/ABV, CVA, MAFF, CFF in 2004 and is currently a partner with Thompson Accounting. Ms. Thompson is a Certified Valuation Analyst and is certified in Financial Forensics by the AICPA. During her career as a Certified Public Accountant Ms. Thompson has provided financial services to clients in many areas including the preparation of tax and accounting services. Ms. Thompson has experience in litigation support, including the preparation of business valuations, lost profits and wages, analysis of income available for support, stock option and retirement plan allocations, tracing, Moore/Marsden calculations and Pereira/Van Camp determinations. She is a qualified expert witness. Ms. Thompson is a current member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2012 she was awarded Young Emerging Professional of the Year from the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, in 2014 was awarded Forty Under Forty by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and in 2017 she was awarded the Standing Ovation Award by the Fair Value Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
