Your help matters! Volunteer to help out at Second Harvest Food Bank. We can’t do it alone, but together we can end hunger in Orange County. Activities typically include sorting, crating, and/or boxing food and produce. The minimum age to volunteer in the warehouse is 14-years-old. All minors under 18-years-old must be accompanied by an adult.
The food items that are sorted or packaged by you will be distributed to the nearly 350 member agencies that we work with, who will then distribute the food directly to the 200,000 hungry people in our community on a monthly basis.
Registration:  Please register through CalCPA  AND then Click Here for the Volunteer Hub to sign up!  It is required that everyone sign up online through both CalCPA and the Volunteer Hub.
The above Volunteer Hub link takes you to the Second Harvest online registration page. You’ll click “sign up” and then it will take you to the registration page with two options; either “Register” or “Not Registered Yet?,” follow the steps to provide your information, and then make sure that you continued to sign up for the event. Please note that this is a two-step process – registering, and signing up for the event. Registering on Volunteer Hub is required for each volunteer to participate. In registering, each individual electronically signs our liability form- which is needed in order to participate in the event. Volunteer Hub also allows us to directly communicate with all signed up volunteers and have an accurate number of how many volunteers to expect that day. Once signed up for the event, you will automatically receive a confirmation email from Second Harvest, as well as a reminder email a few days prior to the event.
