The meeting will be a discussion regarding the preparation of the Form 1041. Additionally, you will learn the tips and tricks and pitfalls that occur in the preparation of the return. The participants will have a better understanding of the Form 1041 and how it differs from other type of income tax returns.


Recognize the differences between FAI and DNI and how it relates to the passing out of income on the Form K-1.

Identify importance of understanding the trust agreement in the preparation of the Form 1041.

Determine the issues to recognize in the preparation of the Form 1041.

This meeting will be a workshop type discussion in the preparation of the Form 1041. We will go over the tips and tricks in preparation of the tax return as well as the pitfalls that occur. We will go over the various type of trusts as well as elections that can be made.
