Thank you for your interest in serving on CalCPA state committees! Our online application is now open and are due by Friday, Jan. 29, 2021. Committee appointments will be made in March/April, so stay tuned for further communications. The committee term is May 1–April 30.

Online Application—General Information

  • To apply through this secure online platform, you will be required to create an account if you don’t already have one (this is separate from your CalCPA website account information). It's a very short and very simple form, which once completed, will automatically redirect you to login.
  • Once this is complete (about 3 minutes), you’ll be able to start filling out your state committee application.
  • You can start, stop, save and continue your application at any time. Simply save it and then log back in at your convenience. You’ll see your “in progress” application on the page right when you log in.
  • Email questions to and they will be answered within 1-2 business days.

Purpose Statement

To discuss and examine issues in the profession in a way that allows the diverse membership an opportunity to examine different sides of an issue and to present a consensus of positions and recommendations of possible solutions to that CalCPA and the profession will be enhanced.


  • To provide forums that represents the diverse expertise of the membership with the purpose of discussing and addressing specific professional issues.
  • To study and recommend to CalCPA Council: positions, policies and programs that are related to each committee's focus.
  • To liaison with agencies and organizations whose work impacts CalCPA membership within each committee's realm of responsibility.
  • To communicate findings and pertinent issues to the membership through chapter representatives and through use of CalCPA publications.
  • To promote awareness and understanding of the varied services offered by Certified Public Accountants.
