2020 First Vice Chair Election

An election will be held for CalCPA's 2020-21 First Vice Chair position. This election will take place by electronic means from July 6 to July 10 and will be by an independent balloting firm.

The candidates are Christie Simons and Laura Ross. Both are current CalCPA Board members, and both went through the nominations process. If you have not already done so, please invest a few minutes to read this email, which explains the circumstances and procedures related to the First Vice Chair election.

In order to ensure a fair and equitable election, as well as provide CalCPA members with an opportunity to make informed decisions, each candidate was asked to provide the following information:
  • Professional resume
  • Video recording of the candidate’s responses to the same set of questions
  • Personal written statement

Instructions on how to cast your ballot electronically will be provided via email to CalCPA voting members beginning on July 6, with reminders sent throughout the week.
