CalCPA Connect Account and App Data Deletion
CalCPA Connect is the official mobile application of the California Society of CPAs (“CalCPA”).
This page allows you to request deletion of your CalCPA Connect app account and the data associated with that app account.
Deleting your CalCPA Connect app account is different from deleting or terminating your underlying CalCPA membership. Your CalCPA membership record exists separately from the mobile application and may include membership history, CPE credit records, event-attendance records, and other information maintained by CalCPA independently of the App.
How to Delete Your Account in the App
You can initiate deletion directly within CalCPA Connect:
Sign in to CalCPA Connect.
Open Settings.
Select Delete Account.
Review the information shown and confirm your request.
Request Deletion Without the App
You may also initiate deletion without using the App by completing the CalCPA Connect account-deletion request form below.
Please provide:
• Your full name
• The email address associated with your CalCPA Connect account
• The phone number associated with your CalCPA membership record
Do not provide your password.
After receiving your request, CalCPA will compare the information you provide with its membership records. A CalCPA representative will call you at the phone number provided to verify your identity, confirm that you requested the deletion, and explain the scope of the deletion before completing the process.
Submitting this form initiates the deletion process. Deletion will not be completed until CalCPA has verified your identity.
What Happens After You Submit Your Request
Submitting this form initiates the CalCPA Connect account-deletion process. A CalCPA representative will compare the information you provide with CalCPA’s records and contact you at the phone number provided.
During the call, CalCPA will verify your identity, confirm that you submitted the request, confirm the scope of the requested deletion, and explain which App data will be deleted or anonymized and which separate CalCPA records will remain.
Deletion will not be completed until CalCPA has verified your identity.
What Will Be Deleted or Anonymized
After your identity and request have been verified, CalCPA will delete or anonymize your CalCPA Connect app account and associated App-specific data from active systems in accordance with its retention practices. This may include:
• Your CalCPA Connect App profile
• App preferences and notification settings
• Community posts and comments
• Chat and direct-message content, where applicable
• Photos and other content uploaded through the App
• Recent-search information associated with the App
• Push-notification registration information
• Other App-specific account information
Some content may be anonymized rather than removed when deletion would affect conversations, records, or content involving other members.
Certain information may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten through CalCPA’s normal backup-retention process.
What Will Not Be Automatically Deleted
Deleting your CalCPA Connect app account does not cancel or terminate your underlying CalCPA membership.
Your CalCPA membership record exists separately from the App. CalCPA may continue to retain information maintained for membership, education, legal, security, operational, and records-retention purposes, including:
• Your CalCPA membership record and membership history
• CPE credit and education records
• Event registrations, attendance, and check-in records that CalCPA is required or has a legitimate need to retain
• Transaction and payment records maintained outside the App
• Legal, compliance, security, and fraud-prevention records
• Records needed to document and complete your deletion request

Processing Time
After your identity has been verified, CalCPA will process your CalCPA Connect account-deletion request within 3 business days.
CalCPA will contact you if additional information is required or if a legal, regulatory, security, or operational requirement affects the processing of your request.
