Local chapter member, Julia Walther, has been active in the Channel Counties Chapter of CalCPA and serves as the Chair for the CalCPA Young Emerging Professionals (YEP) statewide committee. Although most of the events she has coordinated for our local chapter have been focused on networking events for YEPs, she is looking forward to helping build a lasting model that will allow the next generation of accountants to learn about the industry and have a clear path to licensure in California.
Julia has been working as a tax accountant since she earned her Master of Business Taxation from USC Marshall School of Business in 2015. She enjoys working closely with clients at McGowan Guntermann to meet their tax planning and tax compliance needs, with a focus on high net-worth individuals, partnerships, and S-Corporations. When Julia is not researching the latest tax developments, she enjoys traveling, beekeeping with the Santa Barbara Beekeeping Association (SBBA), and making pottery. #CPAand
