Dear CalCPA Members,
It is an honor to serve as your Board President this coming program year, and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead for our Chapter.
First, I want to express my gratitude to our immediate Past Presidents, Melody Barta and Alex Do, for their leadership and dedication. Their contributions have set a strong foundation for my Presidency. I also want to extend my appreciation to Anne Marie Naranjo and Rachael Fleming for their exceptional work in managing our Chapter’s operations, events, and activities—and for their patience as we navigate the many facets of Board responsibilities.
My focus this year is to:
Elevate awareness of our Board’s role and impact.
Strengthen member engagement and community connections.
Increase participation in key events that celebrate our profession’s past, present, and future.
With that in mind, I encourage you to get involved in our Chapter by joining us at our ABC (Attorneys, Bankers & CPAs) Networking Events – May 13, 2025, and November (date TBD).
Additionally, we are reimagining how we honor our Board’s Past Presidents and recognize outstanding member achievements. A special event is in the works for 2026, and I look forward to sharing more details later this year!
I also encourage you to consider stepping into leadership by joining one of our many Committees. These groups play a vital role in shaping CalCPA’s impact—by getting involved, you can help drive initiatives that support our community, uplift fellow professionals, and strengthen our organization as a whole.
I’m excited for the year ahead and look forward to working alongside each of you to make a meaningful impact. Thank you for your continued commitment to CalCPA!
Best regards,
Joey Kennedy, CPA
