What is fall harvest season? Since many crops are planted in the spring to allow growth during the summer months, autumn is the time when crops are ready to be harvested. Fall harvest season spans from late September into December. Shout out to all our local farmers! Curious to know what crops are harvested in Fresno County during the fall? The cooler fall months produce melons, squash, grapes, stone fruit, nuts, pomegranates, persimmons, citrus and olives, just to name a few.
Are you thinking how fall harvest relates to me as a CPA? Please consider that we as accountants also have a fall harvest season. All the seeds we planted at extension time are now ready to be harvested. And what a bountiful crop of returns, reports and statements we all garnered! My wish is that we all had a very successful mini-busy season, or as I am rebranding it, a successful fall harvest!
"The farmer has to be an optimist or he wouldn't still be a farmer."

Coming up for the Fresno Chapter is the annual Golf Tournament on Oct. 24 at Ft. Washington CC. And on Nov. 5 is our Chapter's CPAs Care Day, where we will be helping out at the Central CA Food Bank. Hope to see you there!
