Young & Emerging Professionals (YEP) State Committee
Mission: The YEP State Committee cultivates a thriving community and delivers meaningful resources for young and emerging professionals across California. We champion the modern accountant—guiding the next generation through discovery, connection, and opportunity within the accounting profession and beyond.
Committee overview
The YEP State Committee is led by four voting officers: Chair, Co-Chair, Secretary, and Immediate Past Chair. Each serving a two-year term.
Committee membership includes students, young and emerging professionals (YEPs), and members at large who bring diverse perspectives and energy to the profession’s future.
The committee meets three times per fiscal year:
June (Virtual meeting)
Summer (In-person meeting) — held in conjunction with the Members Club Summit
Winter (In-person meeting) — held in Sacramento with Council and CPA Day at the Capitol
Hybrid options are available for in-person meetings to encourage broader participation.
The committee may also establish short-term task forces or working groups to address specific initiatives or projects throughout the year.
