Diversifying the Accountancy Pipeline Program Pilot CalCPA is proud to partner with NABA, IMA, CAQ, AAA and Gleim to help increase the number of Black and African American persons becoming fluent in accounting. The ‘Diversifying the Accountancy Pipeline Program’ pilot is open to Black college students in California interested in a CPA, CMA or leadership track. There is also a faculty development track for Black practitioners who seek to give back to accounting classrooms. Applications for each track closed April 28. We appreciate those members who encouraged students and future faculty to apply.

The presentations successfully reached over 100 students in total. We extend our gratitude to Kendale King, CPA, and Myron de la Paz from the Los Angeles Chapter for generously dedicating their valuable time to invest in these students despite their busy schedules.
MEMBERSHIP
The CalCPA Membership Team continues to find successes with the membership renewal campaign. Renewal efforts will be focused on continual outreach to members prior to the July 31 suspension deadline.
One of CalCPA’s core goals is to create unrivaled experiences that not only meet but exceed expectations. The organization aims to transform valued members into enthusiastic Super Fans by consistently delivering value and exceptional experiences. The membership team is currently embarking on a communications journey to help members fully understand and utilize the suite of benefits that come with their membership, which includes 28+ hours of CPE.
CalCPA strives to deliver an exceptional and valuable experience by recognizing the importance of listening to member feedback. Your insights and experiences are invaluable. In the coming months, focus groups will be conducted to interview members in an effort to learn how CalCPA can better serve their professional needs.
